Genjutsu Outfit Change: New Clothes, Same Person

Yes, you can upload a clothing photo and make the person in your video wear that outfit while keeping their movement: choose Outfit, add the garment as Image 1 (and its back as Image 2), and only the clothing changes while the face, hair, pose and motion stay. Colour, cut and pattern carry over well; small logos, buttons and the back of the garment can drift. Genjutsu AI is an independent Genjutsu-style editor, not Higgsfield.

Garment photo guide

  • Show the whole garment: flat-lay, on a hanger or worn by a model.
  • Add front and back as separate images if the person turns.
  • Keep logos and prints visible and sharp in at least one image.
  • Plain background, even light, 300–6000 px per side.
  • Photos that show a person go through the provider's asset review before Seedance 2.5 generation.

The "exact outfit" caveat

A generative edit redraws the clothing in every frame. Large features (colour, cut, pattern, sleeve length, silhouette) are reliable. Small logos, text, buttons, embroidery and the back of the garment can change from frame to frame, and loose fabric behaves differently in fast spins. For product-accurate catalogue work, check every frame and keep the clip short.

Outfit change questions

Can I upload a clothing photo and make the person in my video wear it?

Yes. Choose Outfit, add a clear photo of the garment and generate. The person’s face, hair, body, pose and movement are kept and only the clothing changes. On built-in duo clips, Image 1 dresses the first lead and Image 2 the second; on one-person clips, extra images add angles such as the back.

Will the outfit be exactly the same as my photo?

Colour, cut, pattern, sleeves and silhouette usually carry over well. Small logos, text, buttons, embroidery and the back of the garment can drift between frames, and loose fabric moves differently in fast spins. Check the result before using it commercially.

Do I need a photo of the back?

If the person turns around, yes: add the front as one image and the back as another. Without a back view the model has to guess it.

Does the face change when I change the outfit?

No. Outfit mode asks the model to keep the person’s own face, hair, body, pose and expressions. If you want a different person, use Character mode instead.

Can I change only the shoes or a hat?

Yes. Add a photo of the item and say what to change, for example "Change only the shoes to the sneakers in Image 1; keep the rest of the outfit."

Does it work with vertical fashion clips?

Yes. The output keeps the clip’s shape, so a 9:16 runway or try-on clip comes back 9:16, up to 1080×1920.
