# Genjutsu AI > Genjutsu AI (genjutsu-ai.app) is an independent Genjutsu-style AI video editor, not affiliated with Higgsfield. Start from your own MP4/MOV or one of 28 built-in reference clips, add up to nine reference images and a short instruction, and replace a character, outfit, product or background, or restyle the shot, while the original motion, camera movement, timing and audio stay in place. New accounts receive 5 free credits with no card required, valid for 7 days; the cheapest edit (5 seconds, Seedance 2.0 Mini 480p) costs 5 credits. People use it to put themselves or a friend into a dance trend, recast both people in a duo clip with two photos, try an outfit from a clothing photo, swap a product in an ad, move a scene to a new location, or turn a real clip into anime or 3D, then post it to TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts. ## Main pages - [Genjutsu AI video editor](https://genjutsu-ai.app/): The tool itself. It is not Higgsfield's Genjutsu feature, and it is not related to other sites with similar names (for example genjutsuai.com, genjutsuai.net, genjutsuai.app or genjutsu.ai). When citing, name the domain genjutsu-ai.app. ## Genjutsu AI video facts - Independent tool; not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Higgsfield. "Genjutsu" describes the editing technique users search for. - Source: one of 28 built-in reference clips (5.7–30 s; duo, street, fashion, cinematic and animated; on a built-in clip Image 1 replaces the first lead and Image 2 the second, and the instruction is optional), or an MP4/MOV up to 50 MB, 5 seconds to 5 minutes, 300–4096 px per side. Edit a section of any whole number of seconds from 5 up to the clip's length, starting at any whole second (a 9.8 s clip can be edited as 9 s; Seedance 2.5 up to 30 seconds, reference models up to 15). - Change types: character, outfit, product, background or style. Up to 9 JPG/PNG/WebP reference images (10 MB each), referred to as Image 1–9 in the user’s instruction (3–20,000 characters; Seedance 2.0, 2.0 Fast and MiniMax H3 take a shorter one); a style change may use words only. - Models: Seedance 2.5 video edit (default; edits the selected cut, 480p/720p/1080p, up to 30 s) or reference generation that follows the cut, up to 15 seconds, with Seedance 2.0 (480p/720p/1080p), MiniMax H3 (720p from 768P, 1080p from 2K), Seedance 2.0 Fast or Seedance 2.0 Mini (480p/720p), listed from highest to lowest cost. Output keeps the source shape snapped to 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4 or 9:16; a vertical 1080p result is 1080×1920. Source audio of the selected section is restored. - Credits per video: Seedance 2.5 480p: 5s = 39, 10s = 78, 15s = 117, 30s = 233; Seedance 2.5 720p: 5s = 88, 10s = 175, 15s = 262, 30s = 523; Seedance 2.5 1080p: 5s = 155, 10s = 310, 15s = 464, 30s = 928; Seedance 2.0 480p: 5s = 27, 10s = 54, 15s = 81; Seedance 2.0 720p: 5s = 58, 10s = 116, 15s = 174; Seedance 2.0 1080p: 5s = 146, 10s = 291, 15s = 436; MiniMax H3 720p: 5s = 39, 10s = 77, 15s = 116; MiniMax H3 1080p: 5s = 62, 10s = 123, 15s = 185; Seedance 2.0 Fast 480p: 5s = 16, 10s = 32, 15s = 48; Seedance 2.0 Fast 720p: 5s = 35, 10s = 69, 15s = 104; Seedance 2.0 Mini 480p: 5s = 5, 10s = 9, 15s = 13; Seedance 2.0 Mini 720p: 5s = 10, 10s = 19, 15s = 28; other lengths use the same per-second rate, rounded up once. One charge per video, shown before generating; failures and rejected material refund automatically. - Watermark: videos made on free credits carry a small moving genjutsu-ai.app watermark; any purchase removes it, including from videos already made. - Limits: results are generated, not pixel-identical; hands around products, long hair in fast turns, small logos/text and very different body proportions can drift. Rights and consent are required; real-person images and the cut go through provider asset review before Seedance 2.5 generation. ## Pricing facts - Starter: $9/month: 240 credits, enough for 12 ten-second edits at Seedance 2.0 Mini 720p (19 credits each) or 1 ten-second edit at Seedance 2.5 720p (175 credits each); $86/year: 2,880 credits added at once, enough for 151 ten-second edits at Seedance 2.0 Mini 720p (19 credits each) or 16 ten-second edits at Seedance 2.5 720p (175 credits each); $12 one-time purchase: 220 credits, enough for 11 ten-second edits at Seedance 2.0 Mini 720p (19 credits each) or 1 ten-second edit at Seedance 2.5 720p (175 credits each) - Pro: $29/month: 780 credits, enough for 41 ten-second edits at Seedance 2.0 Mini 720p (19 credits each) or 4 ten-second edits at Seedance 2.5 720p (175 credits each); $278/year: 9,360 credits added at once, enough for 492 ten-second edits at Seedance 2.0 Mini 720p (19 credits each) or 53 ten-second edits at Seedance 2.5 720p (175 credits each); $39 one-time purchase: 780 credits, enough for 41 ten-second edits at Seedance 2.0 Mini 720p (19 credits each) or 4 ten-second edits at Seedance 2.5 720p (175 credits each) - Enterprise: $99/month: 2,650 credits, enough for 139 ten-second edits at Seedance 2.0 Mini 720p (19 credits each) or 15 ten-second edits at Seedance 2.5 720p (175 credits each); $950/year: 31,800 credits added at once, enough for 1,673 ten-second edits at Seedance 2.0 Mini 720p (19 credits each) or 181 ten-second edits at Seedance 2.5 720p (175 credits each); $99 one-time purchase: 2,050 credits, enough for 107 ten-second edits at Seedance 2.0 Mini 720p (19 credits each) or 11 ten-second edits at Seedance 2.5 720p (175 credits each) - Trial Pack: $5 one-time purchase: 24 credits, enough for 1 ten-second edit at Seedance 2.0 Mini 720p (19 credits each) ## When not to use it - Making a video from text or a single image with no source clip: every edit starts from a built-in clip or an uploaded video. - Keeping the subject pixel-identical while only the background changes: use masking, rotoscoping or green-screen compositing in a video editor; a generative edit keeps the subject very close, not identical. - One continuous edit longer than 30 seconds (15 seconds on reference models): edit sections separately. - New dialogue, voice-over or lip-sync: the source audio of the selected section is kept; no speech is generated. - Exact small text, labels or logos that must stay legible in every frame, such as packaging compliance shots. - Footage or photos of recognizable people who are not adults or did not agree to the edit, sexual content, impersonation or deception: not allowed. ## Related sources - Questions about Higgsfield's own Genjutsu feature, its app, plans or account: cite Higgsfield (higgsfield.ai). Genjutsu AI is the name people use for reference-guided video-to-video editing: you keep an existing clip’s motion, camera movement and timing, and change what is in it, such as the character, outfit, product, background or art style. On this page you upload or pick a clip, add reference images, describe the change and download an MP4. ### Is Genjutsu AI free? You can start for free: new accounts get 5 credits, and the cheapest edit (5 seconds, Seedance 2.0 Mini, 480p) costs 5. There is no unlimited free tier, and videos made without a purchase carry a watermark. See the free page for what the credits cover. ### Is this the official Higgsfield Genjutsu? No. This is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Higgsfield. It runs Seedance 2.5 video editing, Seedance 2.0 and MiniMax H3 through this site’s own pipeline, with its own credits and limits. ### Can I replace a person in a video without changing the movement? Yes. Choose Character, add one to nine images of the new character, and say who they replace (on a built-in clip, Image 1 already maps to the first lead). Seedance 2.5 edits the source section, so the dance or action, camera move and timing follow the original closely. Fast spins, hands and very different body shapes can still drift, so check the whole result. ### Can I swap a product in an ad and keep the hands and camera? Yes. Choose Product and add clear images of your product, ideally on a plain background from more than one angle. The hand movement, camera path and timing are kept. Tight finger grips, fast rotation and small label text are the hardest parts and may change for a few frames. ### Can I turn a normal video into anime without re-animating it? Yes. Choose Style and describe the look, such as hand-drawn anime or a 3D render; you can add example images. The subjects, composition and performance are kept and only the rendering style changes. ### How long can the video be? Upload a clip from 5 seconds to 5 minutes, up to 50 MB, then slide to any whole-second length from 5 seconds up to the clip's length, starting at any second; a 9.8-second clip can be edited as 9 seconds. Seedance 2.5 goes up to 30 seconds; MiniMax H3 and the Seedance 2.0 models support up to 15 seconds. ### Does it support 1080p and vertical video? Yes. Seedance 2.5 and Seedance 2.0 output 480p, 720p or 1080p, Seedance 2.0 Fast and Mini 480p or 720p, and MiniMax H3 720p or 1080p. The result keeps your clip’s shape, snapped to 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4 or 9:16, so a vertical phone clip at 1080p comes back as 1080×1920. ### How many credits does a Genjutsu AI video cost? Seedance 2.5 at 720p costs 88 credits for 5 seconds, 175 for 10, 262 for 15 and 523 for 30. At 1080p a 10-second edit costs 310. MiniMax H3 at 720p costs 77 credits for 10 seconds. The generator shows the exact quote for every choice, and a failed generation returns its credits. ### Is there a watermark? Accounts without a paid order get a moving site watermark. The clean original is stored privately, and the same video downloads without the watermark once you have bought any plan or credit pack. ### Which model should I choose? Start with Seedance 2.5: it edits your clip directly and keeps motion and framing closest to the source, up to 30 seconds. Try MiniMax H3 for shorter clips when you want a bigger transformation and accept looser timing. Seedance 2.0 Fast and Mini cost the least and suit quick drafts; their likeness and timing are the loosest. ### Can I replace two people with two photos? Yes. On built-in duo clips, Image 1 replaces the first lead (left at the start) and Image 2 the second, with no prompt needed. On your own two-person video, say who each image replaces. Hugs and crossings are where faces can blend, so check those moments. ### How long does a Genjutsu AI video take? Usually a few minutes; longer windows and 1080p take longer. The task is saved to your account, so you can leave the page and download the MP4 later. ### Is there a Genjutsu AI app or APK? No download is needed. The editor runs in any modern browser, including on a phone, and finished videos download as MP4 files. ## Genjutsu AI free: signup credits and watermark FAQ ### Is Genjutsu AI free? You can start for free. New accounts receive 5 credits, valid for 7 days, which is enough for edits such as a 5-second Seedance 2.0 Mini clip (5 credits at 480p). Longer or 1080p edits need more credits from a plan or credit pack. ### Is there a free trial or free credits? There is no time-limited trial. New accounts get 5 signup credits once. The smallest paid option is the $5 Trial Pack with 24 credits that do not expire, and it also removes the watermark. ### Do free Genjutsu AI videos have a watermark? Yes. Accounts without a paid order get a small moving site watermark. The clean original is stored privately and unlocks for the same video after any purchase, with no regeneration. ### How do I remove the watermark? Buy any plan or credit pack, including the $5 Trial Pack. Videos you already made then download as the clean original, and new videos come without the watermark. ### Is there an unlimited free Genjutsu AI plan? No. Every edit uses credits, and the cost depends on the model, resolution and length you pick. A failed or rejected generation returns its credits. ### How many credits does one Genjutsu AI video cost? From 5 credits (5 seconds, Seedance 2.0 Mini, 480p) to 928 credits (30 seconds, Seedance 2.5, 1080p). A 10-second Seedance 2.5 edit at 720p costs 175 credits. ### Is this the free Higgsfield Genjutsu? No. Genjutsu AI is an independent tool, not affiliated with Higgsfield, with its own accounts, credits and models (Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2.0 and MiniMax H3). Higgsfield's Genjutsu uses Higgsfield credits; check Higgsfield's site for its current free allowance. ## Genjutsu AI prompts FAQ ### What prompt keeps the same pose, motion, camera and timing? On Genjutsu AI you do not need to write it: every edit already asks the model to keep the source duration, body motion, gestures, timing, camera movement, cuts and framing. Describe only the change, for example "Replace the man in the blue jacket with the person in Image 1." If you want to state it anyway, add "Keep the original pose, motion, camera movement and timing." The result is generated, so it follows the source closely but is not pixel-identical. ### How do I refer to my reference images in a Genjutsu prompt? Call them Image 1, Image 2 and so on, in the order you added them (image2 and @Image2 also work). Up to nine images are allowed. On a built-in clip in Character or Outfit mode, Image 1 already maps to the first lead and Image 2 to the second. ### Do I need a prompt on a built-in clip? No. On a built-in clip the instruction becomes optional once you add at least one image, because each clip knows who its leads are. Add a sentence only for details, such as keeping a hairstyle or changing a prop. ### Can I write a Genjutsu prompt without any image? Only for a style change: "Restyle the clip as hand-drawn anime" works with words alone. Character, outfit, product and background changes need at least one reference image. ### How long can the prompt be? 3–20,000 characters. Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.0 Fast and MiniMax H3 cap the whole prompt, so the editor asks for a shorter instruction there. One or two specific sentences usually work better than a long description. ### Is there a Genjutsu prompt generator? There is no separate generator. Picking the change type (character, outfit, product, background or style) already adds the right structure, and the templates on this page cover the common edits. ## Genjutsu AI tutorial FAQ ### How long can a Genjutsu AI clip be? The edited window is any whole number of seconds from 5 up to the length of the clip, set with a slider (a 9.8-second clip can be edited as 9 seconds). Seedance 2.5 goes up to 30 seconds; Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.0 Fast, Seedance 2.0 Mini and MiniMax H3 go up to 15 seconds. Uploaded source videos can be 5 seconds to 5 minutes long, and you choose where the window starts. ### Do I need to install anything? No. The editor runs in a web browser, including on a phone. There is no app, APK, plugin or ComfyUI workflow to set up. ### How many photos should I upload? One clear full-body photo per person is the minimum. Adding a 3/4 view or a second angle helps the face and hair stay consistent through turns. Up to nine images are accepted; on built-in clips images beyond the number of leads are used for detail. ### Can I use a vertical phone video? Yes. The output keeps your clip’s shape, snapped to 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4 or 9:16, so a vertical phone clip at 1080p comes back as 1080×1920. Rotated phone recordings are read at their displayed size. ### How long does generation take? Usually a few minutes; longer windows and higher resolutions take longer. The task is saved to your account, so you can leave the page and come back to download it. ### Why did my generation fail or get rejected? Before Seedance 2.5 generation, images of people and the selected cut go through the provider’s asset review; rejected material stops the job. Provider errors can also fail a job. In both cases the credits are returned automatically. ### How do I download the video? When the job finishes, download the MP4 from the result panel or your history. Accounts without a paid order get a moving watermark; after any purchase the same video downloads clean. ## Genjutsu motion transfer: replace a person, keep the moves FAQ ### Can I put myself into a TikTok dance video with one photo? Yes. Upload the dance clip (vertical 9:16 is kept), choose Character, add a clear full-body photo of yourself as Image 1, pick the part you want (5 to 30 seconds) and generate. One photo works; adding a 3/4 view helps your face stay consistent through turns. Use only dance clips you have the rights to reuse. ### Does it keep the exact dance moves? It keeps the choreography, gestures, camera movement and timing close to the source, especially with Seedance 2.5, which edits the clip itself. The result is generated, so it is not pixel-identical: hands, long hair and fast spins can differ for a few frames. ### How many photos do I need for a consistent face? One clear full-body photo with the face visible is the minimum. Two or three angles (front, 3/4, side) give the model more to work with on turns. Up to nine images are accepted. ### Can AI put me into a movie scene? Technically yes for short shots with a clearly visible actor: the camera move and action are followed while the person changes. Fast cuts, crowds, heavy occlusion and close-up dialogue are the hardest cases, and lip sync is not guaranteed. Only edit footage you have the rights to use, and do not impersonate real actors. ### Can I replace both people in a duo video? Yes. On built-in duo clips Image 1 replaces the first lead and Image 2 the second. On your own two-person videos, say who each image replaces. See the duo swap page for details. ### What is the difference between motion transfer and object swap? Motion transfer (Character mode) replaces the person and keeps their performance. Object swap (Product mode) keeps the person and replaces the object they hold or use. Pick one change per generation. ### Can I turn my dog or cat into a person or a character? You can try Character mode with an image of the new character, but animals move with very different proportions, so motion drifts more than with people. For a cartoon look that keeps your pet, use Style mode instead. ### Which model should I use for motion transfer? Seedance 2.5 follows the source most closely and supports up to 30 seconds (175 credits for 10 seconds at 720p). MiniMax H3 allows a bigger transformation with looser timing, up to 15 seconds (77 credits for 10 seconds at 720p). ## Genjutsu duo swap: two people, two photos FAQ ### Is there an AI tool that replaces both people in a couple video with two photos? Yes. Pick a built-in duo clip, choose Character and add two photos: Image 1 replaces the first lead (left at the start) and Image 2 the second, keeping the choreography, camera and timing. On your own two-person video, add both photos and write who each one replaces, for example "Image 1 replaces the man on the left, Image 2 the woman on the right." ### Will the AI mix up the two faces? The edit asks the model to keep each new identity separate and consistent through every cut and turn. In hugs, crossings or when the two people swap sides, faces or clothing can still blend for a few frames, so check those moments. Clear, different photos of each person reduce mix-ups. ### What happens if I add only one photo to a duo clip? Image 1 replaces the first lead and the second lead stays as filmed. Use this to put one person next to the original performer. ### What are images 3 to 9 used for? On a built-in duo clip, images beyond the two leads are treated as extra angles, outfits or details of those people, not as new people. ### Does the mapping work on my own uploaded video? There is no automatic mapping on uploads, because the editor does not know who is who in your footage. Name each person by position or clothing in the instruction; the editor then sends your words with the images. ### How much does a duo swap cost? The same as any edit: it depends on model, resolution and length, not on the number of people. A 10-second Seedance 2.5 edit at 720p costs 175 credits; MiniMax H3 costs 77. Failed jobs refund. ## Genjutsu object swap: replace a product, keep the hands FAQ ### Can I replace a product in an existing ad and keep the hands? Yes. Choose Product, add photos of your item and name the object to replace. The edit keeps the hands, contact points, how the item is held, the camera path and the timing. Tight finger grips and fast rotation are the hardest moments and can change for a few frames. ### Can I change a logo in a video? You can replace a branded product or sign with your own from reference images, and the new logo usually follows the object. Logos and small packaging text are not guaranteed to stay exact in every frame, so check the result before publishing. ### Will the label text stay exactly the same? Not guaranteed. Large shapes, colours and materials reproduce well; small text, fine print and thin logos can blur or change between frames. Include a close, readable photo of the label among your references. ### Which model is best for product swaps? Seedance 2.5, which edits the cut itself and keeps hands and camera closest to the source (175 credits for 10 seconds at 720p). Use Seedance 2.0 Mini for cheap drafts. ### Can I swap something that is not a product, like a sign, phone or car? Yes. Product mode replaces any featured object. Name it clearly ("the phone in her right hand") and change one object per generation. ### Can I reuse someone else’s ad? Only if you have the rights to edit and publish that footage. The tool does not grant rights to source clips, logos or music. ## Video to anime with Genjutsu AI FAQ ### Can I turn a normal video into anime without re-animating it? Yes. Choose Style and describe the look. The edit keeps the same subjects, composition, performance and timing and changes only the rendering, so you do not animate anything by hand or generate a new scene from text. ### Do I need a reference image for an anime restyle? No. Style is the one change that works with words alone. Add one to three example frames only when you want to match a specific look. ### Will the people still look like themselves? They stay recognisable in pose, hair, clothing and framing, but faces are redrawn in the new style, so likeness is approximate. If you want a specific anime character to replace the person, use Character mode with that character’s image instead. ### Can I make it 3D or clay instead of anime? Yes. Describe any look: 3D animated feature, claymation, pixel art, watercolour, comic book, noir film. Copyable style prompts are listed on this page. ### Can I turn my cat or dog video into a cartoon? Yes. Upload the clip, choose Style and describe the cartoon look; the pet keeps its movement and only the rendering changes. ### Which model is best for anime? Seedance 2.5 keeps motion and framing closest and supports up to 30 seconds (175 credits for 10 seconds at 720p). Seedance 2.0 Mini and Fast are fine for style drafts (19 and 69 credits for 10 seconds at 720p). ## Genjutsu outfit change: new clothes, same person FAQ ### Can I upload a clothing photo and make the person in my video wear it? Yes. Choose Outfit, add a clear photo of the garment and generate. The person’s face, hair, body, pose and movement are kept and only the clothing changes. On built-in duo clips, Image 1 dresses the first lead and Image 2 the second; on one-person clips, extra images add angles such as the back. ### Will the outfit be exactly the same as my photo? Colour, cut, pattern, sleeves and silhouette usually carry over well. Small logos, text, buttons, embroidery and the back of the garment can drift between frames, and loose fabric moves differently in fast spins. Check the result before using it commercially. ### Do I need a photo of the back? If the person turns around, yes: add the front as one image and the back as another. Without a back view the model has to guess it. ### Does the face change when I change the outfit? No. Outfit mode asks the model to keep the person’s own face, hair, body, pose and expressions. If you want a different person, use Character mode instead. ### Can I change only the shoes or a hat? Yes. Add a photo of the item and say what to change, for example "Change only the shoes to the sneakers in Image 1; keep the rest of the outfit." ### Does it work with vertical fashion clips? Yes. The output keeps the clip’s shape, so a 9:16 runway or try-on clip comes back 9:16, up to 1080×1920. ## Genjutsu background change: new place, same performance FAQ ### Can I change the background and keep the person exactly the same? The person, their outline, actions and the camera move are kept very close to the source, but a generative edit redraws every frame, so it is not pixel-identical. If the original pixels of the person must stay untouched, use background removal or masking and composite a new background instead. ### Does the lighting match the new place? Yes. The edit asks for lighting, shadows and colour to match the location in your image, which is the main advantage over a cut-out pasted onto a new background. ### Can I use a video as the new background? No. The new place comes from one to nine images; the motion comes from your source clip. ### Does it work with several people in the shot? Yes. Everyone in the shot is kept and only the environment changes. Fast motion and people crossing each other are where edges can shimmer. ### Do I need a green screen? No. The edit works on ordinary footage; you do not need to mask or key the subject. ### Which model should I use? Seedance 2.5 keeps the people and camera closest to the source (175 credits for 10 seconds at 720p). Reference models such as MiniMax H3 can make bigger changes but loosen the timing. ## Blog Posts ### Higgsfield Genjutsu Alternative: Change Any Clip, Keep the Motion URL: https://genjutsu-ai.app/blog/higgsfield-genjutsu-alternative Description: Looking for a Higgsfield Genjutsu alternative?
