Raindance AI Template: Two Photos In, Dave & Tems Pier Video Out

Raindance AI is the TikTok trend that drops two people into the pier scene of the music video for “Raindance” by Dave featuring Tems: one waits at the end of a wooden pier, the other walks in singing, and the clip ends with both on the beach at golden hour. This template does it from two photos in your phone’s browser, with no app: Photo 1 sits on the pier, Photo 2 walks in and sings. Choose 5, 10, 15 or 30 seconds and download a 4:3 MP4 with the soundtrack already in it, from 39 credits.

What the Raindance AI template is, and what it isn’t

“Raindance” is Dave’s duet with the Nigerian singer Tems, released in October 2025 from his album The Boy Who Played the Harp, which went on to top the UK singles chart. In its video, a man sits at the end of a wooden pier, a woman in white walks toward him singing, and the two end up together on the sand as the sun goes down. From late September 2026, TikTok filled with AI remakes of that scene starring couples, friends, cartoon characters and mascots. People call it Raindance AI, Rain Dance AI or the Dave and Tems Raindance meme.

This page is the template version: the scene, camera and timing are fixed, and you only supply the two faces. It is not the Raindance Film Festival or its AI filmmaking course, not a prompt for dancing in the rain, and not the Raindance shower head.

Which photo plays which part

The two parts are fixed by what each person does, not by which side of the frame they stand on, so they never swap halfway through. The times below are from the full 30-second version; shorter videos stop earlier in the same order.

TimeShotWho is on screen
0–3 sAlone at the end of the pier, then turning as someone appearsPhoto 1, with Photo 2 walking in far behind
3–6 sSinging to camera over open waterPhoto 2
6–10 sSitting close together on the sandBoth; Photo 2 sings, Photo 1 listens
10–18 sClose-ups on the pier, hand at the collarPhoto 2
18–24 sKneeling on the pier, filming with a cameraPhoto 1, with Photo 2 posing at the far end
24–30 sSilhouettes on the beach at sunset, then back on the sandBoth

A 5-second video ends on the first solo verse, 10 seconds reaches the two of you on the sand, 15 seconds adds the pier close-ups, and only 30 seconds includes the camera and sunset shots. The 30-second version holds its last frame for about two seconds at the end.

Raindance AI examples

Four Raindance AI examples show how far the same scene can stretch: photoreal or cartoon, landscape or vertical.

Photoreal couple: curly hair and a black tee, a striped top
3D cartoon couple: varsity jacket, braids and sunglasses
3D cartoon couple: yellow locs and a knit set, a green turtleneck
Vertical sunset take: a camera, a red crop top, cherry earrings

Raindance AI app, browser template, CapCut template or a general video AI?

There are four ways people make this video. They differ in how close the result gets to the real scene and how much work you do yourself.

This browser templateAdd two photos, pick a length, download

CapCut-style video templatesDrop clips or photos into a timeline of effects

Edits your own footage to the beat; it does not put you into the pier scene

Phone dance appsAnimate one selfie with a preset danceGeneric dance moves, not this scene or this duet
General video AI (Runway, Kling, Veo, Pika)

If you want a different trend scene, the same two-photo idea works in the

APT AI video, the Smalltown Boy AI video and the zombie AI trend. To recast two people in a clip of your own, use duo swap.

Posting your Raindance video to TikTok and Reels

  • The song is already in the file. You can post the download as it is. If TikTok or Instagram mutes it or limits its reach because of the music, mute the original sound in their editor and add “Raindance” from the in-app music library instead; that also files your post under the trend sound.
  • It is 4:3, not vertical. Feeds show it with bars above and below, which keeps the whole scene in view. To fill the screen, put it on a 9:16 canvas in CapCut or another video editor and zoom in; that crops the sides of the scene.
  • Check both faces before you post. Watch the close-ups and the camera shot; if one face drifts, try again with a clearer photo of that person.

Phone photo checklist

  • One person per photo, face to the camera. A straight-on selfie in daylight beats a group shot or a side profile.
  • No sunglasses, masks or heavy filters. Beauty filters and AI-edited faces make the model guess, and the close-ups show it.
  • Clothes come from your photo. If the photo shows an outfit, that is what each of you wears on the pier; a tight face crop gets plain everyday clothes instead.
  • Real people, adults, with their agreement. Pets and cartoon characters are untested and may be refused by the photo review.
  • Put the singer in Photo 2. Photo 2 carries most of the close-ups, so give that slot the clearest face.

Raindance AI template questions

Is there a Raindance AI app, or can I make it on my phone?

You don’t need an app. Genjutsu AI runs in the browser on iPhone and Android: open this page, add two photos from your camera roll, generate, and save the MP4 to your phone. Phone dance apps in the app stores animate a photo with generic moves; this template follows the actual Raindance pier scene shot for shot.

Can I make the Raindance AI trend from one selfie?

The template needs two photos, one per part. If you only have a picture of the two of you together, crop it into two images, one face each. To play both parts yourself, upload two different photos of you; expect the two roles to look alike. A single photo with both people in it confuses which face goes where.

I have an iPhone and no editing experience. How do I get it onto TikTok?

Make the video on this page in Safari, tap Download, and the MP4 lands in your Files or Photos. In TikTok, tap +, choose Upload and pick the video. It already has the Raindance soundtrack, so you don’t have to add music or edit anything. Because the video is 4:3, TikTok shows it with bars above and below; that is normal, and the whole scene stays in view.

Is the Raindance AI template free, and is there a watermark?

New accounts get 3 free credits, valid for 7 days, and the cheapest Raindance video costs 39, so you can try it before paying. It is not unlimited. Videos made before your first purchase carry a small moving genjutsu-ai.app watermark; any purchase unlocks the clean original of those same videos without generating again. Failed videos refund their credits.

Does the video include the Raindance song, and can I post it without copyright trouble?

Yes, the download includes the soundtrack from the reference clip, so it plays with the song straight away. That does not give you a licence to the song. TikTok and Instagram may mute or limit a video with copyrighted audio; if that happens, mute the original sound in their editor and add “Raindance” by Dave and Tems from the in-app music library, which also links your post to the trend sound.

Can I use a celebrity’s or a friend’s face, or use the video in a brand ad?

Only use photos of people who agreed to it. Celebrity photos and film stills may be refused by the model’s photo review; the credits come back when that happens. For an ad, use people who signed a release and replace the soundtrack with music you have rights to; buying credits does not license the song or anyone’s likeness.

What happens to my photos after I upload them?

They are stored as private inputs on your account and shared with the video model only through short-lived signed links for your own generations; they are never shown on the site. See the privacy policy for how long data is kept and how to ask for deletion.
